Stephen Santhanaraj is the Managing Director of Shepherd’s Sphere Pte Ltd , a Singapore based Adventure Learning and Consulting firm. His areas of expertise include the design, development and facilitation of leadership, strategic thinking, team development and organization effectiveness programs, organizational development and behavior consulting, experiential learning, and coaching.

Stephen took an interest in training and organization development work when he was with the Customs and Excise Department, where he was Superintendent of Customs before he joined the private sector. During his tenure with the Department, he was awarded two Fellowships, one under
the Colombo Plan from the Government of Australia and the other from the United Nations to study International Training (Customs) and Drug Trafficking and Abuse respectively.
His broad organizational experience is drawn from his active consulting engagements in the region and elsewhere and his former role at Philips where he spent 16 years, starting out as Training Officer and subsequently rising to the level of Regional Organization Development Director. He was also a member of a global team, the Audio Business Group. Since leaving Philips he is the Managing Director of Shepherd’s Sphere Pte Ltd.
Stephen is a regular speaker at regional conferences on the subject of training, OD, and teambuilding.
He used to be a part-time faculty member of Strathclyde Business School , the University of Sheffield, the Singapore Institute of Management. Currently, and an Adjunct Trainer at the Institute for Adult Learning. He is currently a Board Member of the National Community Leadership Institute
